Whitney Houston – I Will Always Love You: The Best Of Whitney Houston

Hard to believe, I bought this double LP from a local store. Quality of the pressing is total scrap!!!!!! Full of the surface noises, some songs have strange scratched sound in left channel. Shame,Shame Shame.....

I got this album on a trip I had to Mexico last month, checking on the vinyl section of "Mixed up" I saw this album and got it cause I was for real missing some Whitney in my collection,I know I paid a little more than I should for this album, but let's say that it was the experience overall of being in the store and looking through the records, something is not usual for me in Guatemala.

Anyway, the album sounds AMAZING, i read here that people had a lot of trouble with pops and crackling sound but I didn't. the sound is pretty loud and dynamic, Whitney's voice sound so alive and really makes my room filled, at some points I wish the would have polished a little bit more her voice to make it a little bit more brighter but definitely worth having it on your collection.

ok so my copy doesnt have any pops or clicks after a solid cleaning - so no issues there. My "issue" is with the track list. Why in the world is Never Give Up on here? It's a terrible track period and shouldn't be part of a collection suggesting it's "definitive."
An obvious ommission is "It's Not Right But It's Okay" but I would have taken any single from My Love Is Your Love - any one of those magical tracks. Anyone know why that album is not represented on here? My gut reaction is the family and Robin probably don't speak and Robin basically spearheaded that album but ultimately that shouldnt matter - that said, im confused. Any insiders have any info? Besides that you've got all the classics - Record 1 could use a solid remastering.

Tried two different copies from Amazon, both full of pops, crackles and surface noise even after a twice vacuum wet cleaning with Tergi-Kleen and then Spin-Clean with distilled water used. Completely unacceptable but unfortunately far too common nowadays with these pressings being hurried out of pressing plants and out the door. Maybe the EU pressing is better but I’m done trying. Sound quality wasn’t spectacular anyway as some songs sounded excellent and others sounded so-so. 3.5/5.0 on sound quality.

I had to exchange my copy because there was so many crackle noise. The second copy is not the greatest either, but much better. I think one of the song skips big time, but better than crackling noise throughout the disc.

The record has a sticker on it saying 'includes 12 #1 singles'. Whitney only has 11 so this is a mistake?

Very well done compilation, sounds excellent! I wish we could've got more songs from the Preacher's Wife and My Love is Your Love. Step by Step and Heartbreak Hotel were some of her greatest that didn't make it on here. But still worth it to hear the bonus songs on vinyl Flat pressings with no surface noise.

Wow, the Kygo remix of Higher Love, really? Finally could've had the original on vinyl and they went with that remix, disgusting.
