Reviews

Edited 9 months agoSounds compressed. Obviously digitally sourced. Crackles and pops here and there. Better to pick up a cd.
Utter trash. Avoid. -
Guess I got lucky with my copy, it sounded fantastic. No distortion or skips on any of the songs or loud pops on I'll Be There either. Really no issues besides a bit of surface noise at the start of Vision of Love and a few other tracks, but that's it really.
-
Just finishing up my first spin (on Infinity) now. I went in with low expectations having read these reviews of the sound quality & pressing quality. I even kept my receipt preparing to have to return it to my local record store.
Well, it’s not a home run, but I’ll be keeping it. In this instance, low expectations may have been a bonus.
I did note one minor skip toward the last 30 seconds of I’ll Be There as the song was winding down. But at least it didn’t get stuck in the groove but just kept playing.
I didn’t have a thud at the end of One Sweet Day, just a minor click right after the song ended.
Since I was listening for it I did notice that the audio quality on Thank God I Found You is subpar, but not enough to ruin the album for me. In fact after the song completed & the arm return to its station, I checked because I thought maybe there is dust on the stylus but there was none.
I will say that I was playing it in one room and listening from another for most of the spin so that may have helped my listening experience overall. Lol - who knows.
Also just for reference, I don’t have a high-end turntable. It’s a base level Audio Technica. -
Bought two copies and both of them don't sound great. Some songs sound better than others. A lot of surface noise between tracks and cracks here and there. No skips.

My copy sounds amazing. No pops, no sibilance or skips. My only problem is witht track C5 which sounds terrible!
-
Edited 5 years agoSide B on that record is recorded very badly, because a white noise is clearly hearable. Awful and worst pressing ever!
-
Beautiful packaging, but unfortunately the quality isn't amazing. There's a major skip during I'll Be There that kind of ruins the experience of this otherwise serviceable collection for me.
-
am I the only one who thinks "thank god I found you" sounds like poor quality of mp3 file? unlike other tracks on this vinyl, that track does sound really bad.
-
Edited 5 years agoTerrible pressing. For the price, yuuukkk. Sibilance sibilance shhssibilance. Muffled highs. Even a waxtime pressing sounds light years ahead when compared to this! Ruined this one for me! Yes, after the track always be my baby there is a tap tap tap. The sound quality reminds me of a tape recorder which needs azimuth alignment. If an original stuff sounds so bad, then better to stick to torrents and 24/96 flac. Besides, the hole on disc 2 was so small I had to take a pencil to widen it and later scraped off the extra vinyl to place it on my turntable! The worst of the dozen I bought this year. Total waste. Stick to your cds if you want some MC.
