That would explain why, when I bought it back in the day... all copies on the shelf, at my usual record store, came with NO plastic wrap... They must have checked every copy before sending them out!

Looks like a reissue may be coming in November! Still early and not a lot of sites have it up yet, but hoping it is true.

Can anyone please explain me what's the point of cutting the corner? I bought a copy several years ago but I found no disc 1 in the package (both were side 2 lol). So I bought another one and the corner was also cut.

I was lucky to get a copy without the corner cut off. The gatefold is nice with colourful and vivid prints, the unique inner sleeves are always such a plus above standard paper, and records both have a high sound quality, the bass isn't to heavy and the voice isn't lost in the instrumental. great album.

Great album Mariah Carey is amazing. This album volume levels are different for every track and some of the vocals are like 25% louder than the rest of of the track. There is like 25% to much treble on this album and tracks volume level should have been kept all the same level through out the whole album. Still a great sounding vinyl album better than a lot vinyl albums like South Circle Another Day Another Baller and Bone Thung East 1999.
