I was obviously very hesitant to buy this because of the picture disc.. That said, Im happy I bought it. Great sound, great bass. I was VERY worried about the ending of Crybaby being distorted, but it sounded perfect. Glad I picked this one over the black just based on the reviews. Plus it looks amazing and obviously fits the album better.

*** listened all the way through without a cleaning and it was good. I’m going to give it a wet cleaning and see if it gets even better.

I would like "There For me" instead "How Much (So So Def Remix)"

It may just be the same pressing as the one available in Europe, but if you go to japan definitely grab it. It sounds pretty good for a picture disc, but let’s be sincere, no one is buying this pressing for the sound quality, it is stunning, very well done packaging and it looks like the cover wasn’t a scan, the photo is quite crisp!
I actually believe this wasn’t just some extras added by a local record shop, based on all the copyrights and extra information it looks to be oficial, they probably added the obi strip, lyric insert and back cover with some Japanese information to make it more appealing to the Japanese home market.
That said I believe it is ridiculous to go out of your way to get this if you are just a normal Mariah collector, I just got it because my brother was in Japan and he found it on a random record shop, and I just so happened to not have any copies of rainbow at that time.
Overall great release! But I believe this can also be said about the American and European pressings, so please don’t overpay for what is essentially 3 pieces of paper.

Its just the EU edition with an unnoficial OBI added by a local store. Nothing to be too fussed about.

My copy came with lots of dirt from the factory, but after some cleaning it played just fine. Great reissue, i just wished the cover was a gatefold like the original version.

I bought my copy secondhand, and some surface noise is present towards the end of all discs, even after brushing multiple times. However, this is a solid pressing! Everything comes through clearly on my stereo.
