did this really come on cobalt tape? because if so, that and the “s” noise reduction seem to make a really good combo in of quality sounding tape

Vinyl sounds outstanding, just need to crank your system a little bit to get it to realllllyyyy shine. And very nice to get the MTV Unplugged show on CD, too.

Real curious how this compares to the 2xLP if anyone has both and can offer their thoughts.

This LP is as good as this recording will ever get. I own an original EU pressing and I never thought it was a great sounding LP but I did think it might be the best copy I will ever own. The AP copy absolutely destroys the original EU pressing. This is the one to own.

This is an excellent EU pressing and if you haven't heard the AP75 45rpm you'd be happy with this. However, the AP75 is more focused, defined and balanced. The lows are tight. The highs are crisp but not overpowering. There is more depth and punch. This EU copy needs to be cranked just to volume match the AP75 but still lacks in the SQ, but not by much. You'd have to really A'B them to tell the differences but they're there. That being said, if you aren't interested in dishing out the money for that copy, this is a solid listen and satisfies the itch if you crave a vinyl copy. I would rate 4.5 stars if that was an option.

100% agree with the comments. What a blast ! If Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Mad Season, Temple Of The Dog, Alice In Chains,...'s albums could have this treatment..... Thanks Analogue Prod. staff for beeing so involved.

Picked this European OG recently and it does not disappoint. Lots of punch for a '92 vinyl with all these minutes. I did notice that side one needs to be turned up a touch louder since it has 30 minutes squeezed on it but once you do it comes to life. It's no double lp like the MOV, Run Out Groove or Analogue Productions albums but it might be you best bet for a single 33 1/3 of this grunge classic. The cover is a bit flimsy since it was made from recycled paper but that was common for the 90's imports.
