Interesting one we got here. Side 1 has a Sterling stamp in the deadwax and Side 2 doesn't and has bigger etched in numbers. Is Side 1 the RKS and Side 2 something different? Damaged plates? Neither Side had the RKS....did someone else at Sterling cut it? Why do the main deadwax numbers match the RKS? Call Scooby and the gang. -

The copy of CS 8579 I have is consistent with the identifiers listed above (except no IIAI on side 1), including printing code 4. "Produced by John Hammond" printed under "BOB DYLAN' on the back cover, inconsistent with the first NOTE above. . -
Edited 3 months agoI have a miss press, labels both correct for the album but side one is the Mr Big album Never say Never, should I return it or keep for rarity sakes?

I've never heard nor compared this pressing to an original, but it sounds good to my ears. I'm not sure if other people have experienced this, but my copy came with 'Stereo' markings on the cover and the center label, despite the disc itself being a mono recording. Very strange.

The mixes are all stereo. Including those on the 7” single. I can’t find any detail which exact takes of these songs are included on this record. And although the album appears to be cosher, I can’t help thinking that source will not have been the CBS masters and it’s basically a bootleg. -
Funny to hear an old pressing in stereo. I have only heard mono before (aside from the terrible first CD attempt!).
It's a good listen, but mono still trumps it.
