John And Yoko* – Wedding Album

Side B contains roughly the last 1:10 of Amsterdam, the side break occurs right after John's impromptu version of "Good Night". Amsterdam also has a nice layer of reverb added to the track, which is sadly missing from all digital versions.

I wonder if anyone is ever going to list the 2-LP test pressing sent to journalists with the audio tones on the b-sides of the discs. Imagine what that would be worth. I wouldn't even care if it didn't come with the box

In my copy misprint on inside vinylcover, right bottomcorner “SNAX-3361”. Shouldn’t this be “SMAX-3361”?!

My copy has indeed the artists credited on the spine. Namely 'Wedding Album . John And Yoko' plus, at the end of the spine, a silhouetted image of an apple in white on black plus the catalogue number.

I'm frustrated because I can't add this release to my collection. The information on the runout doesn't match anything here. SMAX-1-3361-F-4. (Side One) and SMAX-2-3361-F-4. (Side Two).

This box is a beautifully and lovingly made set. Heavy jacket and box, all of the materials are made with very good card stock. The remaster is fantastic. There's no audible distortions and very little noise, which lets you concentrate on the very sparse content.

I think when it comes to the music on this album, it's very easy to gawk at when you enter with a closed mind. For me, I think the variety of emotions and genuine performances on side one make up a really provocative and entertaining listen. (it's not for everyone, I get it) The second side has some interesting interview content washed in a reverb that creates a dreamlike quality throughout the whole side.

If you want this to be Imagine, you will hate it. If you are into musique concrète and performance art, you may fall in love; I have.

It's kinda weird having this box set. It commemorates one of the worst decisions and the greatest tragedy in the history of rock n roll. For 50 years we have wondered, 'what was he thinking'? I am a completist, so I had to have it. It is well made and good quality. Nice extras. The "music"? Yikes!

Why is the tape cassette of this album not listed (Apple: 4XM-3361)?
