real rap heals in many different ways, and serves to uplift its listeners and performers; krs does this best by reminding us of this the divine and metaphysical that resides within all of us, and how the oneness of the human race and experience unites us all.

i think this album best represents what krs stands for; education to be more open-minded through ionate and purposeful entertainment. that's realer than real. who else was dropping this much truth and knowledge during his era? and continues to? he is an inspiration, and his influence is a burning torch meant to live on and on. peace 8)

Only a few tracks are actually "clean" on this version:

Blackman in Effect - edits out the portion with the ad-lib of "awww shit!"
Beef - reverses the word "shit"
Love's Gonna Get'chu (Material Love) - Extended Soft Version from the 12" single that censors profanity with sound effects

With this reissue they missed the opportunity to add '7 deejays' and '30 cops or more'. Two superb tracks that aren't available on vinyl. Pity.

So excited to finally have a copy of this record to augment the cassette I bought back in '91. Beautiful presentation and an awesome overall package. A little disappointed with the amount of noise on my copy—even after a thorough cleaning it's got some pops and crackles and surface hiss throughout—but all in all a good 3.5 to 4 stars.

I am curious about the two catalog numbers for this release - did it come with 'clean' and 'uncensored' editions?

So it's the summer of 1990 and I'm riding around in a Suzuki Samurai with "Love's Gonna Getcha" blasting out the subwoofers and loving how Kris rebounded on this album from Ghetto Music.

My favorites: House Nigga's, Edutainment, Love's Gonna....
Unfortunately the vinyl doesn't include the possee cut '7 Deejays' and '30 Cops or More'.
