Edited 4 years agoCannot fault the high level of creative production in the tracks featured here. I have 4 of the Earth series and just got this through. Right away the standard I expected was there and a feast for the ear drums is in full swing. Touches of Sunny Latin, soulful house, retro and future funk, future jazz and acid jazz elements really stand out and offer a sophistication and style I go for. A worthy soul soothing collection and a great addition to my collection. Note: There is no DnB on here though for those who like those productions just so you know. As others in the Earth series tend to feature several DnB tracks.

So many highlights in one compilation, Makoto tracks - "Extensions of Life" & "Peace of Mind" are over the top for me. Breakz, future jazz, house, mid tempo and a lof of more different vibez from Bukem organization. Each year "Earth 4" sounds better and better. Watch out!

Wow! Having loved volumes I and II of the Earth series on GLR, and been a bit disappointed with volume III, I wasn't too expectant of the fourth one. But I was proved wrong as this one is truly, truly wonderful. An audacious but entirely successful move away from Bukem's usual style of track selection - hard to describe except that it's a beautiful journey from start to finish. John Beltran's Aztec Girl and Makoto's Extension of Life are just stunning.. i dont understand how CaptainCook gave this masterpiece the luke-warm review that he did. Some if not all of these tracks were specially commissioned for this album.

Another nice compilation from Good Looking Records. Some tracks features live musical instruments & vocals. I like the Earth series more than others (like Points In Time and Progression Sessions) due to various syles presented in one volume. And I should mention the perfect artwork of the disk box. A step after one-coloured Earth I-II-III volumes.
