I just gotta say, I've been listening to this release since I bought it from the Music Coop in Ashland brand new in 2006. And for being colored (2 colors at that) - this album still sounds exactly like it did brand new.
The disks, which are at least 180g, are resilient as hell and are not even the slightest bit warped - both of which qualities are in stark contrast to my experience with most colored vinyl from the early 2000's in the past.
This pressing is absolutely decadent and of the finest quality.
It'll be interesting to see if the Castle Hills re-release can raise the bar.
Not impossible, but it certainly wont be easy. -
Does this original vinyl release sound better than the 2014 MoV repress? I'm curious about an A/B comparison of the two. -
