Scabdates is a weird record, but I really love it. Having it on vinyl I think was absolutely the better experience compared to the CD, I think flipping the record sides def helps with how insane of a song Cicatriz is on here, it lates you take a breather and still feel connected to it and I think that is much to its benefit. I was really nervous about the sound quality since its a picture disc but it actually sounds really good. I really recommend this release

Has anyone ever compared the vinyl with the cd ?

Bit the bullet and coughed up the cash for one. Original owner must not have played it often. Sound is way better than I expected. No surface noise at all…considering it’s a picture disc, lowered my expectations but the result far exceeded…

Why Clouds Hill didn't reissued this one? They did all of their catalogue except this!

had this about 11 years before I had a chance to listen to it. Needs a good clean because it was super noisy despite having never been taken out and played, dust had somehow gotten in over the years, still a great album to have on record

Listening to my copy right now. Sound is excellent – not noticing any surface noise even in the (rare) quiet moments. The images used for the picture discs are frankly ugly, but quality to my ears is top-notch.

My jacket got damaged in a flood which is such a bummer because my discs were unharmed, and yet it feels like my package is incomplete. If anybody wants to sell me a jacket in good condition let me know :)

I've read about Scab Dates on black vinyl.. Apparently, it exists. However, it's not listed here. So was this album actually released on black vinyl or not? The only versions I see here are the picture disk and test pressing.. Just curious.

The vinyl sound quality itself is pretty good, but the recording itself isn't super hi-fi. Though, it was intended to sound like a high quality bootleg.

For being a picture disc my copy has relatively low surface noise which surprised me. I've played this record a lot over the years and it still sounds good but the glue on this cover (and a few other Omar offerings) has separated.

I personally think this LP is their best. Though the noise collage at the end could have been trimmed down; otherwise it's awesome to hear all these songs with intensity and Cicatriz Pt. 4 has some early s workings on it.

I own a copy and the sound quality is great!
