Purchased from US Amazon. I guess I got lucky as my copy is flat and super quiet. Comes in poly-lined paper sleeves that were basically debris free. I did give it a 5 minute ultrasonic spin to remove any dust in the grooves. Sound is very dynamic, and wide. The bass is thunderous and filling. The strings (synths) are dramatic as they rise and fall. No inner groove distortion noted by ear. Very quiet in the few low ages and between songs. The instrumental work is off the charts and in a weird way very soothing. Just a really cool album and incredible effort by the late Daft Punk

My copy sounds like noisy trash even after a cleaning. Not impressed and I never play it because it sounds like junk.

Edited 2 years agoNewer versions need to have their own slot created for those that have them and not under this slot. the 2010, and the 2015 1st repress have the glow in the dark out sleeves. not sure about the others. buy the 2015 if interested in one of the two. the 2015 release is identical in all ways to the 2010 in of wax used and the mastering.

People who buy this release in Mint condition for $15-30 ask for a photo on the back of the envelope, there should be a Disney logo at the bottom above the barcode, and there should be no catalog number on the sticker.
-
Don't waste your time with the Target release (like I did). Just get this one. It's such a better pressing.

Disney Emporium re-released this version. It has slightly different graphics on the hype sticker and rear of jacket. Not sure that merits a whole new entry.

i can only find one word. masterpiece! disney has outdone itself with its cooperation with daft punk. there is no medium that captures this sound like an LP. pure goosebumps!

Say what you will about the plot of the film itself, but Daft Punk's score is memorably supreme, and the quality of this particular pressing is nothing short of excellent.
There is absolutely minimal surface noise, even during quieter or more treble-heavy sections. For every time I have played it, I can't recall hearing a single crack or pop.
For as long as I have kept these LPs clean and properly stored in addition to regular equipment maintenance, they've been nothing but good to me in return. The pairing of the orchestra's vividly stirring, dynamically bold performance and Daft Punk's acidic, punchy electronic rhythms is at its best on this medium.
I'm not often choosy about medium or format for casual listening, and I'm certainly no vinyl purist. However, in of an inspired listening session of this soundtrack, after many listens of even a proper FLAC CD rip on a more-than-halfway-decent DAC, I confidently declare there is no comparison with the vinyl.
Real talk. The vinyl, as long as it's maintained, has the CD beat in of overall sound quality and richness in tone. Hear it for yourself.
If you're even remotely a fan of this film score, you'd be doing yourself a disservice to not keep your eye out for this particular release at your local stores. The inclusion of the additional tracks on side D is an especially fantastic bonus for TRON: Legacy fans.
I can only hope to add more prime jewels like this one to my collection in the future! -
I enjoy this album, although it may be a rare listen once in a while, the quick pace of the songs make it that way for me, great album! =)
