Some surface noise that isn't noticeable due to how noisy the record is, a good amount of bass and clarity between instruments, overall a very good pressing.

mine came with some slight warping but still plays just fine. the record itself sounds pristine, no pops are heard on my system (at lp70x)

Swans brings us a vinyl reissue of the fun-fest known as Filth! Excellent sound overall; loud and punchy. I'm sure the neighbors were happy! I can only compare with 1990s YGR CD reissue/comp. However, this is good enough for me. Although not from my favorite era of Swans, I do enjoy going back to hear young Gira howling away at the world... and the occasional sludgy pummeling (which gets even better on their next album).

Why is the Michael Gira signed version not in the database if it is so common.

This album is meaaaaan. Thick, sludgy, gross, all those nice words. Feels like a sledgehammer battering at you while a steamroller drives in from the distance. The included poster is double sided and quite cool. the actual pressing is p nice too, i didn't pick up on any surface noise, etc except between songs and even then it was next to none.

Can agree with other comments, this is the best sound available for this album by far. Fat, dirty, and wide sound all throughout! Recommend buying from YOUNGGODRECORDS.com

The album sounds great at 45rpm as well. Rock on.

Just got this is the mail yesterday. Never thought I would be able to own this piece of art on vinyl but the universe had different plans for me :) such an inspiring, brutal, visceral listening experience. The icing on the wax cake was that Michael Gira signed all the copies. My life is now complete. Now, back to pummeling my ear holes with this beautiful, ugly album.
