People need to bare in mind you’re not going to find an audiophile recording of this album. The way in which it sounds is raw, lots of almost like a live performance heard many different pressings.
Not sure what it is people want it is what it is

20 bucks new, decent enough sound and I'm happy. Early Funkadelic was crazy and on a low budget.

Sound on this one is truly crushing and deep! Pick this up and all the other reissues before they’re all gone! The highest recommendation I could give.

This sounds great to me. I’ve been trying to buy original Funkadelics since quite a few of the reissues I’ve heard sounded like garbage, but I found this one for cheap and figured I’d take a chance. Worth it!

It does sound great and should not be too hard to tell apart from the 4men with beards versions. I recommend this!

Im pretty sure this sounds great people, it just gets mixed up with the 4MenWithBeards versions, which are terrible.

This is the problem with so many re issues today!

It sounds really, really tinny. Although the songs are good I find it excruciating to listen to. On the back of the album it says "Direct metal mastered from digital tapes". I can only imagine that this is the cause of the terrible, terrible sound of this album, due to crap digital technology, but then.. I don't know. I own the 'I Wanna Know If It's Good To You' 45 from the album and that sounds fine. Suffice to say, this pressing of 'Free Your Mind And Your Ass Will Follow' sounds absolutely terrible/unbearable.
