No problem with this pressing. Everything sounds great, no distortion issue here..fine warm sound! Highly recommended! And excellent music! -
... although it appears, at least based on my my copy of Dream River, that Drag City may be improving the quality control of its pressings... or should I say RTI, the generally respected pressing plant, which appears to have pressed all of Callahan's records and most of Smog's... my beef has mostly been with poor pressings of Smog releases, as my copy of Apocalypse is decent as well. -
Agreed on both... this record continues Bill Callahan's seemingly endless fountain of creative genius, and Drag City continues to press vinyl of dubious quality, so much so that I've instead pursued the superior Domino UK vinyl pressings of Callahan's recordings where applicable (mostly Smog).

Poor pressing on two LPs I encountered. Bad quality can be recognized with the naked eye: Streaks and runmarks on both sides. Sounds ugly, surface noise and distortions, galore. Don't buy. -
Bill Callahan just keeps producing strong material. A personal favorite from 2013. As always with Drag City on vinyl, my only complaint is that it doesn't come with a digital code. The label is really holding out on giving out that perk.
