Finally ordered a copy , its become one of my all time favourite records over the last year on streaming but i ve wanted the LP however i am very retiscent to buy new vinyl as ive been let down by warped noisy pressings again and again
Nice 3D sound stage and my copy is clean and silent thank goodness - recommended.
Content wise - what an album. I dont find many albums i can get excited about from the last 5 -10 years but this is up there with my all time favourites. Gone too soon. -
so... my copy was just two side Bs but the sound quality was reallly good, just hope you have better luck than me lol -
A copy I ordered on Discogs recently has side 2 on both sides. I'll the label, but I'm interested in hearing if anyone else has had this problem. -
Over the past 3 years my exposure to Purple Mountains was purely of the streaming variety. Damn! This is a record that deserves to heard on vinyl. I felt like listening to a different record. Buy it! Spin It. -
The disc is flat and centered. The jacket feels a bit cheap and the inner paper sleeve meant that the disc was dirty. A quick dry clean fixed that though.
Side A plays a bit harsh, especially on A5. Side B plays cleaner with only a few minor clicks. The mastering leaves a bit to be desired, but I don't think the lossless files are that much better.
Overall, it's a good release, but I think there's room for improvement.
