Notes
Initial numbered edition with top opening G & L laminated gatefold sleeve, black inners, poster & 4 color prints, dark green Apple labels with Ⓟ & "Sold In The UK...." text.
This was released in error omitting the text 'E.M.I. Recording' on the label, so a second version The Beatles was promptly released with the corrected labels.
Eric Clapton uncredited on A7 for contractual reasons.
Songs are credited to 'Lennon/McCartney' on the jacket and to 'G. Harrison' and 'R. Starkey' on the labels.

I'm trying to add my copy onto the database but I'm having issues. My copy has WHITE inner sleeves and I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone have any information about this release? Thank you.

Does PMC (Mono) and PCS (Stereo) actually have a meaning ie Parlophone Mono Cut, Parlophone Cut Stereo ???

Edited 6 months agoI want to sell my variant - but actually I don't find my variant here - an auction on ebay validated what it should be The Beatles White Album,2LP, Mobile Fidelity Japan pressing ,MFSL 2-072 ,1982" - while the year is uncertain as I can't find it anywhere on the record.
COMES WITH POSTER with nice photos & lyrics on it!
Please message me if you are interested in the obviously rare variant. Shipping worldwide from .

I need some help on this one... Maybe a Beatles/vinyl expert can help me out.
I recently bought a sealed copy of the white album, but can't identify the version/pressing. I searched on discogs for hours, but haven't found a match.
Specifics
-No hype sticker
-toploader
-printed (not embossed) The Beatles and No. 0001256 on front cover.
-printed on back cover , upper right corner: Stereo
-black inner sleeves
-photo's etcetera are included
-Apple label states:
An E.M.I. Recording
33 1/3
Mfd. In U.K.
Help is much appreciated! -
I have a stereo copy with no EMI on sides A and B only, but it’s in a Mono jacket without the Stereo reference on back cover. Low number in 12,000s. Does anyone know if early Stereo pressings came in Mono jackets? Does not look to have been switched as condition of both media and jacket are NM.

Edited 9 months agoYou can say every Beatles pressing is unique but this is a good one! Original monos offer something neither the ‘81 or the 2014 monos can! This very first cut of this album is much darker sounding and the vocals and guitars sound very thick. Of course it has that nice tube cut glow. I’m surprised by the tight bass. A nice VG copy is all you need as long as you clean it and you use double y cable. This was a very entertaining listen. Records like this makes me feel like I’m taking a peak into a small slice of history. Highly recommended for all Beatles fans!

Edited one year agoJust to deviate from the theme of misprint talk here... the '68 pressing sounds absolutely fantastic! Once you hear the very beginning of "Back in The U.S.S.R." you know you're in for a listening experience. "Dear Prudence" and "Blackbird" are particularly beautiful. I picked this up in VG+ condition with all of the inserts for $90 at a local record store. They are out there!

I've got a cassette from Vinyl Record, but i can't find this version here. It looks like pretty modern in a way of design, it's simply 50th Anniversary Edition cover on it. I couldn't find the year of manufacture

I have a UK numbered copy with YEX 709-1in the run-off for side 1. However there is no text at all on the side 1 label, apart from the green writing around the edge. The other labels are fully texted with 'Sold in UK subject....' on side 3 only. Any ideas how to identify this?
