Edited 2 years agoThese '8P' Japanese first-press CDs (and their 1991 ESCA represses) are the definitive digital versions of the Clash albums. Originally released years before the first European CDs from the early 90s, they have way more low end and overall presence, and almost sound like the old LPs.
Also, the booklet on this release copies the format of the original UK LP inner sleeve, in that the lyrics are written without the individual song titles as headers. The US LPs and first European CDs had the song titles added in, and then the 1999 remasters went back to being without (but this time had the white-text-on-bottle-green colour scheme of the UK inner). And it has the full version of Inoculated City.
