The earliest copies that I saw of this (Glasgow, Scotland) on release day, or immediately afterwards, were the 11 track with Sub-Mission 7”, and the 12 track. Both with blank pink rear sleeve.
The ones with the tracks printed were slightly later (possibly even that same week).
At time of release I owned the 12 track/ blank rear sleeve, which I (stupidly) sold.
Have replaced this more recently with an original 12 track release with 11 tracks printed on rear.
That’s certainly the time line that I , and it was a pretty big deal, getting your hands on a copy of the Pistols LP ASAP, for the “I’ve got one!” kudos - but also due to the fact that we had waited SO LONG!
ps. no-one I know had a blue inner sleeve, at any point - was plain white CBS standard issue.

I have a variant exactly the same as the one with the blue inner sleeve (Variant 6 listed above), V2086 A5/B7,12 tracks, no black outline around Virgin records LTD. on the back cover, 11 tracks on the back cover, Vicious credited on EMI, except mine is in a waxed plain white inner sleeve and not the blue one.

            Can’t find my variant here:
            Matrix / Runout (Side A runout,etched): V2086 A5
            Matrix / Runout (Side B runout, etched): V2086 B6
Only 11 tracks are listed on back (omits Sub-Mission)
“VIRGIN RECORDS LTD.” is not framed in black on base of rear sleeve.
            Anyone got any suggestions....
Or have I got just yet another unlisted variant?

I have a copy, pretty much identical to this, difference is, it has Sub-mission on the rear of the sleeve. A5/B10 matrix. Can anyone help to identify it for me?

I have a copy that has identical record to this Sex Pistols - Never Mind The Bollocks Here's The Sex Pistols issue with no ncb on label
Runout stamped Side A: V 2086 A and a handetching that looks like: Pd
Runout stamped Side B: V 2086 B and a handetching that looks like: PED
The cover is identical to SIB-Tryck, Tumba on the back of the cover.
I bought this record new in Sweden in 1977 or 1978 so I know the record nor the cover has been swapped.
Is this to be considered as a variation, another issue or just "-We´re out of records! -Well, put the ones without the ncb logo in it so we can call it the night..."

I ahve a copy of this '3rd' issue A8/B6 which is identical in every way except that on the reverse of the sleeve at the bottom the 'Virgin Records Ltd.' text has a black border where it appears a copyright 'c' symbol on the left has been masked. Is this an early typo for this issue?

I have this version, i think. It has all the mentioned characteristics but a matrix runout V 2086 A5. (side 1) and V 2086 B5. (side 2) which have been hand etched. The dots after the 5's are in the middle of the font rather than down the bottom like a full stop. Can someone confirm this is a 3rd main press? Also I have a blank pink sleeve version (no song title rear) with exact labels as mentioned for this press but with matrix runout V-2086.A8 (side 1) and V-2086.B8 (side 2), both hand etched. Once again dots after the 8's are in the middle of the font rather than down the bottom like a full stop. It is housed in a plain white inner sleeve with UK PATENT NO. 1,123,555. in the bottom right hand side and V2086 penciled in on the bottom left hand edge of the other side of the inner sleeve. I always thought this was a 3rd main press version too. any help? If these are versions not mentioned on this site yet I am able to provide details and clear detailed pictures if need be.

The running order of N.M.T.B. was changing daily. But when it went to pressing the LP, eleven tracks were agreed on. But in Pistols' style at the eleventh hour, the group insisted on the inclusion of Sub-mission being on the LP.
The copies already run were possibly going to be scrapped, but due to import copies arriving from , panic set in. Would everybody buy the heavily improted French album version for the extra track. Which was already on the streets, with a printed sleeve reading : N.M.T.B. includes the unreleased Sub-mission track.
So plan two went into action to release the initial copies of the 200,000 run and add a single-sided 7" containing Sub-mission.

Version 1 : 11 track LP with and without the 7'' with plain pink back cover, no track listings. 1000 of these were mainly given away as promos though some were sold on the bands tour of Sweden.
Version 2 : The 11 track LP with single-sided 7" and full colour poster, shrink wrapped together, rush released a week earlier than planned. Note the back cover of this version only lists 11 tracks with no Submision.
Version 3 : Then came the re-cut twelve track N.M.T.B. with printed sleeve with twelve tracks printed on the back cover including Sub-mission.
Version 4 : Three months later in January 1978 came the picture disc version of N.M.T.B. in pink die cut sleeve with tracks written in black and white in order, as opposed to scattered on the back cover.
