Typical sound of early post RL US releases, side 1 sounds awful, whilst side 2 sounds somewhat decent.

Side by side comparison with the following pressing: https://discogs.programascracks.com/release/12103105-Led-Zeppelin-Led-Zeppelin-II - I found this copy to sound low and flat in a rather unexciting dull way. Very letdown by the sound of this pressing.

Sonically, IMO this sounds very nice, nice balance of lows and highs. Very clean with nice system, Sansui QR4500, Sansui 2500 Speakers. Without running this through a nice tube preamp, this comes out crisp and clear. Compared to a Sterling RL? or the 200Gram Remaster? But compared to the 2014 R1-536180 version, this by far trumps the audio.

Although there were many problems with this pressing it featured some great range. On most record players it skipped and there was substantial noise in one song. There has been much written about the Robert Ludwig pressings and their problems. Mr Ludwig has gone on to be one of the best, winning many Emmy Awards.
