Edited 10 months agoGreat reissue - flat, clean and mastering is detailed and warm - bass is the big winner here. Artwork is a little thin, but overall, a solid edition. Note: I had no issues with track 4 side 1, as reported by other reviewers. The vocals are a little louder in the mix than on other tracks, but there’s no distortion.

Compared to my original copy from the 70’s, this copy does sound less punchy and loud. Did a side by side and it sounds a little worse.
-
My copy is very good but Clapton’s lead vocal on S1T4 is distorted and scratchy throughout. All other tracks are fine.
-
Bit of a crapshoot, this pressing. My copy is also noisy with pops, clicks and groove noise, even after thorough cleaning on rcm. Vocals on A4 are distorted. Great sound on this version but shame about the noise.
-
Bought a copy last year and I was surprise by the quality, zero pops, clics or surface noise. Sounds really good to me even with headphones and can’t hear any issues
-
no issues with my pressing... clean, flat and dead quiet... have a original Australian pressing from 77 and this pressing is much better...
-
I bought a new copy. Straight to turntable, I get scratchy vocals on track a4 - Next Time You See Her. But not on other tracks, including the very next track (We’re All the Way) with very delicate vocals. Not sure what’s going on. Anyone else?
-
Music/Mastering sounds good to me but the pressing quality is sub-par. I have a consistent amount of cracking/popping noises even after a clean. Sounds like others have quiet copies.

Edited 6 years agoPicked this up used but mint-y, sounds great but its pretty warped, anyone else have this issue? I also have light brown RSO labels, not the white and blue Polydor labels like in the photos but it is a 180 gram press.
