Notes
Laminated gatefold sleeve
℗ 1977 Robert Stigwood Organisation, Ltd.
Made in West
Track B3 has no author credit on back cover, wheras on label of side B Eric Claption is mentioned ("written-by"). In reality this is an old blues standard performed by Arthur Crudup since the 1940s. It was recorded by Crudup for Bluebird Records in 1942 and published 1943 Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup - Gonna Follow My Baby / Mean Old 'Frisco Blues. The label printed cleary indicates Arthur Crudup as the author of the song.
℗ 1977 Polydor International GmbH
Aus dem Hause Deutsche Grammophon Gesellschaft mbH
Hohe Bleichen 14-16 - 2000 Hamburg 36
The first part of the runout string (incl. MASTERDISK) is stamped and the second part beginning with 'RS...' (incl. J.G.) is etched.
A5 is printed on inner gatefold as 'All The Way' instead of 'We're All The Way' (on rear cover and labels).

Edited 6 months agoI suspect that 'Mean Old Frisco' is not genuine written-by Eric Clapton. It borrows heavily from Arthur Crudup 'Mean Ol' Frisco'. So the correct entry should be 'traditionel' or 'Arthur Crudup'. It is interesting that on the backcover track 8 has no author mentioned, whereas on side B of the record EC appears as originator. This is called 'cultural appropriation' if not plagiarism.

Edited 2 years agoMy copy has the same quality issues like Crippler22's: overall sound quality is dull and especially his voice sound kind of muffled.
A pity, as I quite like the track list. -
An average album in my opion. Despite of "wonderful tonight" there are not so many songs on it that turns me on! 3 stars

This is my first copy of this album. I don't know if it's the recording of the album in general, but Eric Clapton's voice sounds very dull and musty. In contrast to the instruments, which aren't very high resolution either, but still well balanced.
I'll see if I can find a better version of this album, after all there are some classics on it.
