I’ve had 2 copies of this and each sound great, except in the beginning of “Dig a Pony” each has the exact same half second micro drop out/micro jump during the first verse. “…I dig a ~micro dropout~ pony” sounds sorta like pony is almost slighty cut off at the start. Is this just me?
-
Solid pressing; feels live and exciting. Only issue is that the percussion is slightly distant in of clarity.
-
Fuck tha haters, this pressing does the job for the price. If you find a good one, it’ll do you just fine.
-
I have this and the Abbey Road remaster versions. Let It Be is alright in my opinion but not so much Abbey Road compared to the original ones.

Edited one year agoIts a really nice pressing. Well balanced sound wise...so if your system is bright...you will be very happy IMO. That being said...it does lack the high end bite of my 80s Capitol release (purchased new). I like it. Let it Be is a tough one though...and the new anniversary edition is "better" in some ways...but this is original so its worth owning. Just did a 5 vinyl listen last night...1970 red apple boot//1979 Capitol/this album/1976 EAS Japanese version/2021 Remix. Honestly...this version stands up very well against the 2021 and the 1976 ..its IMO about 85% as good...of course your system is important....

Edited one year agoGreat pressing. Balanced remastering of this LP and does some of their best tracks justice.
-
Edited one year agoThe mixing and mastering on this pressing are not great. The drums often sound tinny and distant, while vocal mixing sounds muddy. Best to look for a different pressing!
