Can anyone help me here? I have a uncensored version release which I think to be European as it has the boxed GEMA/BIEM on the label as well as 924198-1. All straight forward there. But then I find WX218 beneath the latter (and above LC7266). The bar code on the back cover reads 07599-24148-14; then there is UK:WX125 and : WE81. What version is this? I cannot find it after an extensive search. The WX218 is the sticking point. I'd be really grateful for any advice to identify this. snowybartley

I have a copy of the censored cover from when it was originally released that has the GHS 24148 catalog number with an A embossed on the label (meaning an Allied pressing I assume) that I don't see listed as any of the versions. Any thoughts on this anyone? Matrix/Runout Side G is: GHS-2(then a number scratched out)4148 - A - SRI - DMM SP 1-2 SPAR B-27798-SRI-DMM Sterling(scratched) 0-SMI-3 ∆ 16875 .... Side R is: GHS-2(then a number scratched out)4148 - B - DMM - SRI - SP 1-2 SPAR Sterling(scratched) 0-SMI-3 ∆ 16875-X B-27799-SRI-DMM

Just got this on 2015 180gram US release. The sound quality is mediocre. Can anyone recommended the best sounding release?

Getting reissued with the 2018 remastering and original album art through the GNR site in a couple of months: https://gnrmerch.com/products/appetite-for-destruction-limited-edition-lp

Edited 2 years agoQuick Q for the knowledgeable... I've had this since I was a kid in the 80's / 90's. Bought it because of the banned cover. I already had the release version of "Appetite" so there was never a reason to open this. I am pretty sure its original. What 'hallmarks' should I look for on the front and back to it for any potential buyer? How do I tell which pressing it is without opening? (Allied vs SRC)
I have the hype sticker warning label with GHS 24148 on the front side and XXXG 24148 on the spine. Anything else? I'm not much of a GNR fan. Is it a good time to sell? Thanks! -

I have a sealed copy with the Dead Pool sticker on the front. I'm seriously confused as to if this is an original pressing, or if it was a later pressing. I understand the the movie came out in 1988, but I can't find any other version that this could be.

Edited 3 years agoOne of the best Guns N Roses albums in my opinion, no explanation needed when you look at the songs on the album.
