Music 9/10 but mastering, pressing 7/10. Have to agree that this sounds rather compressed or ‘non-dynamic’ and lacks low end. However it’s still enjoyable, and that drop from part 2 to 3 on side B is one for the ages… -

I’m now a fan of this band, album and definitely this pressing. Plays best at 3/4 volume IMO. An album like this must have instrument separation and a good mix or it’s just not worth a purchase. “Tablet II” in particular has an interesting mix. Towards the end of the instrumental track when it lets loose, the lead guitar rips your face off (heavy front) while the rhythm guitar dwells in some weird middle realm. The double bass sits a little in front of the rhythm, so not overbearing while the bass guitar is front and center and super heavy.
Very happy with this purchase and recommend with no reservations. If you’re reading this you already want it, so go get it. -
What happens when Pink Floyd, Eloy, Tangerine Dream, Morbid angel and Nile produces a bastard spawn..?

When there are 15+ super cool looking color variants of a record, the plain black one is rare by default! :) sounds great -
