This is good decent pressing. It is in no way a great pressing though. It lacks in stage and bass. Might sound only great to people, who are used to modern badly mastered metal releases. If you know truly great sounding records, this is just decent for a modern metal record. My CD sounds better. Quality of the vinyl and pressing is great though as usually from MOV.

This record is simply the best progressive metal album of all time. The packaging/presentation reflects this. But be warned…this record will single handedly ruin your collection. Nothing will sound as good, you will skip over your old favourites to put this on, and your collection will begin to collect dust.

Sounds awesome just as good if not better than the og cd version from 2001. Good gatefold presentation with an oversized booklet

I can only say the same thing the other reviews write: the sound is impeccable. Absolutely stunning for a re-release. I just wish the Katatonia vinyl re-releases would sound this good. Perfect album on great sounding 180gr vinyl with an absolute gorgeous presentation. The gatefold feels like inside out cardboard which suits the swamp forest aesthetic of the cover art. The sleeves are lined with lyrics and liner notes. Gorgeous edition of a true masterpiece.

What a wonderful pressing... If all of my LPs could sound like this one. Silent, dynamic, clear... The packaging is glorious as well. I can't imagine the forthcoming deluxe edition being better, considering how disappointing the Draconian Times that was released by Music for Nations a year ago was. Music on Vinyl definitely rules and I'm glad I could put my hand on a low priced copy as I'm sure they'll soon be hard to find.
