Dua Lipa – Radical Optimism

Not a groundbreaking album from Dua Lipa, but perfect pop songs in the continuation of her previous album. Sound is absolutely good. No problem that 2 colors of plastic were used for this pressing. Unfortunately, the plastic of the outer cover has become warm and shrunk. Booklet with photos and texts of added value

If you're still looking for this album, find ANY other variant! The pressing sounds pretty bad to me. As another said here, the frequencies are weird. The highs are super high and tinny and the bass is more punchy but not real even depth so overall it just sounds loud and fuzzy when you turn it up. The last tracks on both sides really loose the quality, they sound so compressed and fuzzy.

I was really unhappy with this experience. Someone of her caliber should have a competent merchandising team. First of all, the original price of this was outrageous $60 USD!!? For 11 songs!? They sent these completely unprotected in a plain record mailer. PVC sleeves were all wrinkled and corners curled. We ordered 2 copies for our household and both had seam split on the outer gatefold sleeve but not the inner sleeve which was odd) I wrote to complain about it and this was weird - a sold out limited special edition but they said they could replace it but that I had to pay the shipping to return the original. I said that was absolutely unacceptable and by the end of the day that day they'd just refunded me for both copies. Sounds like MANY experienced issues. I think they likely lost a lot of money on this because they didn't put in any quality checks. It was a big cash grab.

Sounds incredible, the split is perfect and the gatefold is amazing quality! Only issue is a small skip on B5.

Not the best sounding variant. The clear one has less sound issues. There is definitely surface noise at the beginning or end of most songs - especially at the end of Happy For You and Falling Forever. Also it's super expensive so I would not really recommend this variant unless you care about the booklet and gatefold.

how come this one has a signed card shown in the slides but isnt marked as signed ? am i missing something ?

how come they still do PVC sleeve in this "special" editions ... every Vinyl collector knows that PVC sleeves with time will glue on the vinyl cover and will release some chemichals that will damage the vinyl inside too !!!
stay away form PVC sleeves...

and they use it in a Special edition version of the record !!!! really !!! shame !!!

Frequencies are weird on this one. Too much high end (Treble), particularly noticeable with "French Exit"'s cymbals. Almost giving me headaches.

Mine did not come with the signed card, even though it had been confirmed on the order that it should have it. Instead, I got a second copy of the vinyl (which I did not order nor want: absolutely no need): the curaçao version 🤷🏻‍♂️. I'm writing the customer service to complain.
PVC sleeve also came extremely wrinkled.

the pvc sleeve arrived extremely crinkled from her webstore because the vinyl box they shipped the record in was too tight for it, thankfully using some heat and a couple heavy books i managed to flatten the creases. it’s still not perfect but it’s fine. the split pressing is gorgeous, the sound quality is really great, very minimal surface noise!

My vinyl came in damaged. The outer sleeve was wrinkled and wonky. When I opened the vinyl further i noticed that the inner sleeve had been damaged to. I ed the dua store but they couldn’t give me a new one. Only a 20% money back 😕

My copy sounds just as good as my curaçao blue vinyl, so that's great! It's nice to have a gatefold edition of this album with a booklet, though I agree that it's overpriced. I don't mind the signed card instead of an insert - at the end of the day, it's a piece of paper, and as long as it's signed, I'm happy. The PVC sleeve is unnecessary for me personally as I won't be using that. Overall, I love Dua and I love this album, so I'm happy to have this in my collection.
