The mastering is nothing special, but the record itself is very quiet (in regards to surface noise). The clear vinyl is gorgeous, and the package design is very unique. I do wish, however, that it had come with a clear inner sleeve. The lack of the inner sleeve and the mastering is the reason I have given this release 4 stars and not 5.

I would have to agree with the several comments regarding the mastering of this single— it’s pretty poor. Sounds very compressed, comparable to digital output, and not a lot of depth or warmth to it.

Guess I can’t complain. Bought two copies because some stamps I was seeing online weren’t pretty so I chose the one I liked the best. They were shipped in an envelope which was horrifying but luckily they shipped fine. Plays flat and dynamics are great. -
Edited one year agoApparently some people DO NOT LOOK AT CHARTS. Stating that this fabulous new Dua LIpa single "Houdini" is "Doing Poorly" in the charts!?? Well in the UK Top 75 singles chart it made it to number 2 and is currently at number 10, that's "Doing Poorly" WTF!
Some people here don't know what the hell they are talking about.
I got my copy and it looks and sounds great.
I would love a 12" vinyl with a extended version maybe a bootleg will show up LOL. -

What's the point in having this release? The dynamics have been sucked right out of it with a brick wall limiter. She is pretty, talented & her music is great, I like it alot BUT I can't stand the horrible mastering job. I measured my rip and it is definitely the same master used for digital and CD releases with a low filter applied. Results were DR 9 - RMS 11 which is not very dynamic for vinyl. -
Does anyone else's 'skip' into both songs? Almost like it jumps in 5 seconds in? Very strange.

I have a minor skip here and there on both sides but man this sounds sooo good. I would have liked to have the extended version here but it’s nice to hear the instrumental too.
