Just bought this from Vertigo Music in Grand Rapids MI. Very quiet and dynamic pressing. A/B'd with a CD and the vinyl was more dynamic with a bigger bottom. The digeradoo on side 2 shook the floor on volume 22/100 (Marantz TT, Nagaoka MP110, Sansui G7700, JBL L166). No complaints, I recommend it.

My copy of this was horribly noisy and even had skips on it's first play.
I see other reviews saying how good theirs are but mine is a disaster. Maybe someone had a bad day at the pressing plant?
I bought six titles in this run and haven't had an issue with the others sofar so don't know what to think.

Pretty close to flawless sounding. Hardly any surface noise, great sound quality, flat disc, pretty color. Pricey but would recommend.

Edited one year agoSmokey pressing dated Oct 09 2023 from Fish People
My pressing sadly has some noticeable popping on "Sat In Your Lap." Rest of Side A has other slight pops but not at all distracting. Side B sounds very good. Smokey vinyl looks really nice.

Edited one year agoVery happy with this pressing. Haven’t done a back-to-back comparison with the 2018 remaster yet, but this is excellent. The 2018 was superb. This is as well (and I thought it was impossible to improve upon the UK 1st edition. I was wrong!) I'm happy with these 2023 reissues thus far. The Red Shoes from this series is the biggest improvement.
Do you need the more expensive coloured vinyl of this? Probably not. However, it's not a waste of money. Like the other 2023 versions I've experienced, the vinyl is quiet without distortion, crackles, pops. I had more issues getting good copies of the 2018 versions when they first came out if that helps.
