Absolutely outstanding sounding pressing...for me her best work ever...unbeatable in of creativity, genius and ingenuity...a masterpiece and one of my all-time favorite albums
-
Absolutely incredible pressing. Dead silent. Instruments separated nicely and real warmth to the bass in particular.
-
Have to agree with the consensus - what a lovely pressing. Just picked up a VG+ copy and wow - so detailed and immersive. Brings all the crazy detail to life. Love the album even more with this.

Edited 10 months agoI am very happy with this version. Great dynamics, which are very important on this record, especially in the vocals. My EU version was heavily compressed in comparison. It was louder, but had lost a lot of dynamics. If you want to really hear the record as it was probably intended, you should buy this one.

First pressings are always phenomenal.
Get it if you‘re still thinking about it - this album is her magnum opus, in my opinion.
Fantastic album, fantastic pressing - you have nothing to lose.

Edited 2 years agoWowza, I had an original US pressing of this originally that I thought sounded a little flat since it had a bit of surface noise, but then I found a clean original UK press of this to replace it. This is such a huge soundstage of a pressing, like Kate is sitting right front of you.
If you can’t find a Japanese press of this (which for this one, I will say still hits a home run), the UK press is a great second choice. Pick it up if you see it in the bins of your local store!
Hounds of Love being her best album? Nah, as much as I love that album, Dreaming is her best from front to back. -
Obvious quality of the music itself aside this pressing sounds incredible. I have a slightly noisy copy and it's still one of the best sounding records in my collection.

The Wikipedia page for ‘The Dreaming’ (song not album) states that the didgeridoo backing originally contributed by Rolf Harris was replaced during a 2018 remaster following his conviction for sexual assault. Yet the 2018 releases for this album still credit Rolf Harris. Anyone know more about this?
