I noticed years ago, but have never seen it written anywhere, that during the chaotic 'why can't, why can't' backing vocal section near the end there is definitely somebody going 'you wan-ker, you wan-ker'. I would love to know if anybody else can hear it !

Has anyone ever conclusively proven how many legitimate colours exist for the German Rough Trade 7" pressing? The way I see it, the original colours were only four: red, lime green, blue, purple. Everything else is just a variant of these, arising from problems with colour mixing. This includes the darker greens, opaques and marbled versions. As for yellow colour cited in the notes here, has anyone actually eyeballed one?

Has anyone ever noticed if you look carefully at the pixellated lettering, you'll see that they are colour-coded - black is one letter and red/yelow/blue is another, with grey being the common pixels.
But if you decode you get Black = COWFUSIOR and R/Y/B = NEN ORDEN
(ignore the embossing which is logical)
This is the same on the back and front.
I wonder if this was deliberate or an error? -
I've got a version of this 12" identical to this embossed first press, same color labels, matching info, etc. but there's no text in the runoff, and the matrix numbers are FAC 93 A3 / FAC 93 B3.
Anyone know of a 3rd UK pressing? -
You can definitely hear the Arthur Baker/Jellybean Benitez team at work from The Funhouse club/New York. Listen to Freeeze I.O.U. and the two songs are basicly production cousins of each other. After completing the rough version of Confusion, Arthur Baker played it at the Funhouse Club on a reel to reel and break dancers thought it was an electro hip hop band. A true underground classic for the band now "vamped" for the techno heads who love The Blade version.

Predominantly an Arthur Baker track - New Order were there but they didn't have a lot to do with the finished product. Still, that doesn't stop them from playing it live! Electro Bass fans should get this. Initial copies have an embossed sleeve.
