Yeah, I agree with everyone else here, this is a horrid pressing. It sounds compressed to the point of being unlistenable, especially in the heavier moments. Returned it and got the 2 LP version which sounds far superior. Easily the worst-sounding record I've ever had in my collection. A terrible pressing of a fantastic album. Seriously, I have bootlegs in my collection that sound way better than this

I have bought about 30 records now, Appetite for destruction 2022 reissue is the only one that was without a doubt a disappointing sounding record. The sound is very closed in or compressed, bass is very weak. Result is that quality is reduced to tinny FM radio..

Don’t normally review. I thought this was going to be a great album. Sonically not very good—especially near the label. throughout the record the highs fatigue my ears. I tend to agree the “compressed” comment previously posted. Sounds like it’s all right between the speakers with no presence.

I added the 180g remaster at Acoustic Sounds to my wish list.

This release is probably from 2021 or 2022; Pressed in Czech Republic, it sounds good, but it suffers with some inner groove distortion towards the end, probably because of the playing time of each side (side A is 26min). Grab it if you can find it for a good price.

Any opinions on the sound? Is it worth the money, please?
