A very vocal forward live mix. Another in a line of similarly difficult live WS shows to listen too. Just not a fan of the live recordings. Pressing and packaging are great as usual.
-
I’m going to go against the grain and say this record is only ok. There are far better sounding White Stripes live shows (Amazonian, Northern Lights, Nine Miles) and this just doesn’t get close enough to them. The energy of the show is great but its let down by a poor mix, the vocals are too harsh and the guitar is mixed too low, Meg’s drums also sound a bit hollow.
Jacket itself is very nice and the records are a great smokey colour. The Taking Me Back 45 is also a nice touch. -
beautiful packaging and photos. The 7" sounds amazing.
Both 12" records came with a bit of warp. On record #1 the first track skips (a pity). The second without problems. -
Really the best TMR Vault package ever.... High quality recordings and amazing package. White Stripes miss too much.....
-
did anyone else get two 7"s in their package? at first i thought there were two different versions, but looks like just an error during assembly before shrinkwrap.

great package! listening to just LP1 so far.. it sounds alright. vocal quality isn’t great, but it is what it is. i also get quite a few crackles and pops no matter what i do. pretty disappointing, but worlds better than the shitty at the masonic press from a vault or two ago. low 3/5.

So far, I’d put this up there with Live In Mississippi and Nine Miles From The White City in of best WS vault releases. This is one hell of a show.
