There are some pretty harsh reviews on this one. I think it sounds decent, especially considering it's a live recording. Any respectable setup will sound fine, especially with a bit of EQ. Unless you have a crap player with no way to adjust basic sound levels, there's absolutely nothing to fear regarding the sound quality of this release.

Unplugged / lightly plugged and wonderfully weird, Jack White is the pointy end of Rock and Roll right now.
-
the sound quality from the SNL youtube videos is better than the 7" sound quality. very disappointing.
-
I picked it up for $50. Indeed not a great sound. But as some say, crank up the bass and it’s actually not too bad at all. A keeper, especially for fans.

The sound is really good. If you've ever been to a White Stripes or Jack White concert, you know it goes off the rails. It was a loud as hell concert played in a concert hall, so there are blemishes, but those have to do with an energetic live performance, not the recording/mixing/mastering, which are all up to par. The pressing is also fine, you just need to de-static when it comes out of the packaging, because it arrived pretty static-y. It's worth owning. You will enjoy it. You will play it loud. You will forget all about what the other commenters think.

More URP garbage. Can't believe they've printed their NAME on the label. Jack White never gonna dump them. lmao
-
Perhaps the most disappointing vinyl I've ever heard. The recording is awful. I bought this as the setlist looked fantastic. What a letdown.
-
Terrible recording especially the vocals. I am surprised that JW let this one out considering his perfectionism and obsession with pressing vinyl. I have heard better recordings on cassette of the Grateful Dead circa 1970. What a bummer. Unfortunately mine did not come with the 7" SNL recording, which I burned off YouTube and is awesome. I agree totally with tomlangdalehunt, the worst sounding vinyl collection, almost unlistenable, save a few tracks-Apple Blossom and We're Going to be Friends.
