Body Force is one of those hidden JB breakbeat gems from the early rave scene. It was a staple in my early 90's San Francisco breakbeat sets. It's so dark and brooding and the bleeps and bass are cool and spacey without being cheesy.

Edited 4 years agoThis always reminds me of Migue Ire for some reason and Black Sabbath etc (for some reason) ......What do eye know??? .......? The prices go up and they go down.... since 1990 nothings changed.................. Just raves have got SMALLER in a blink of an eye in 2020...................!!

Edited 7 years agoI some people back in the day describing the Reinforced Records label as 'The Dons Of Darkness'. If producers like Joey Beltram never started making tunes in the late 1980s and very early 1990s, there probably would be no dark hardcore or anything remotely serious in the first place. It would ALL be overtly garish cheesy speeded up piano chipmunks - as if we weren't already, overwhelmingly inundated with that stuff already. Need a bit of balance both in life and in a music scene.
This release encapsulates the whole dark, mystical, evil vibe to become a major part of a large portion of underground electronic music for years to come. A no nonsense beast for sure. -
Deep sounds from the early years. Beltram is upoon the time, the tracks are a vision about what would be big in 91/92 but from 1990. All tracks are dark with industrial mechanic sounds and heavy basses, sometimes with epic strings or a hypnotic female voice. Breaks, 4/4 & Breakbeat. The straightest track is Trance Machine which is another version of the first track, The Trance.
