This pressing sounds absolutely fantastic!! Rich, clear, natural, spacious. I have only had the 4MwB release before and the difference is huge.

Spun this LP on Father's Day after my daughter gave me a copy of "The Glory Of Fruit Bats" (ES032) that has a cover of "My Man On Love" from this LP. Sill's vocal delivery is distinctive as is her sense of melody, both are different but delightful. Her untimely death may have shortened her reputation, but she continues to have a cult following decades after her death. One of the things that I love is her use of strings, which is unique on tracks like "Lady-O" and "Lopin' Along Through The Cosmos." Strings for her heighten emotion, can be used for a brief age, and then discontinued, making their appearances memorable. "Jesus Was A Cross Maker" may have been her closest thing to a hit single, but the drive in the song is forceful and entrancing. "The Lamb Ran Away With The Crown" is so delightfully light-hearted that it stands in contrast to much of the set's more epic song-quests. This is a classic disc for all who love the melodic pop of the 70s.
