I fucking love this goddamn record so much, but I love a lot of records, so I wasn't thrilled with the idea of shelling out $200 plus for an original pressing. Truly, I don't know how much better these songs can sound than they do on this fabulous pressing.

It's on red vinyl and it comes with extra junk, what else do you want??? It is an essential record though... somehow sounds completely modern and somehow extremely old... like the drum machine is steam powered... Frankie Teardrop is one of the scariest songs ever recorded...Alan Vega was a true American genius, musically, artistically, and attitudinally... is that a word? well, it is now...Props to Martin Rev too... nobody rocked ski slope sunglasses better than that man...

Fortunately my copy sounds clean with no defects or unwanted noise in between tracks. The vinyl is opaque crimson. Shame about the bad placement of the barcode on the rear of the cover , which detracts from the photo; but i guess the inner booklet and print make up for it. Overall a very nice package , which is worth picking up if you happen to have a worn out original or a bootleg.

A great reissue of a great album. I listened to this version of the album last night and I got an impression I was hearing Suicide'77 for the first time; it sounded so good, so raw, so harsh.

Gonna echo what everyone else has said, this sounds AMAZING. One of the best albums ever and marks one of the major turning points in the history of music. This pressing absolutely does it justice.

Sounds fantastic. I’m not familiar with the “original” mix, but this is the version I from CD about 10-15 years ago. Beautiful packaging and inserts and blood red vinyl. If only all vinyl releases were given so much care. You can hear the influence on Bruce Springsteen, Yo La Tengo and LCD Soundsystem.

I never had this album neither in LP nor CD but this pressing blew my head off! Very dynamic, well balanced and the stereo image is simply awesome. The 6 page booklet is a nice bonus and the red vinyl looks pretty.

What a record. Whilst the pressing itself sounds good in my opinion, it’s a shame that I’ve ordered two and they’ve both arrived extremely warped.

The music istself sounds really good. Packaging is nice. Nice red vinyl. Noisy in beteeen songs. GZ vinyl is hit and miss.

Sadly, this isn't the original LP mix (Cheree and Girl, especially, are alternate mixes that Marty Thau added at a later date).
