This is crap. Throwed away into trash bin immidetely. Horrible mastering. Horrible sounding. Wasted money. Totally dissapointed. Digital version from Q or T sounding MUCH-MUCH better, brighter and powerful.

Yep, it’s bassy. But it sounds good on my system. And Korn deserves the punch. Good and enjoyable pressing imo.

I have variant 2 of this album by matrix/runout code listed above. The sound quality on this record is really subpar. There is nothing wrong with the copy I have physically or any factory errors, it is just the sound used for the pressing must have been very low quality. I do not recommend this for anyone who has a strong taste for sound quality. If you can tolerate mud, this is the pressing for you. Otherwise, pay the extra and get the MOV pressing.

Edited 2 years agoI have to disagree.
After having read these comments I had no expectations what this record would sound like. Right now listening to it I am very very pleased with it.
Yes, it is absolutely bass-heavy but it is by no means "muddy" or "compressed". It's mixed rather loud and (as stated before) bass-heavy but if you have a good sound system, this thing sounds very clear and wide-ranged. The range of sound especially surprises me on the low-end. I assume this needs big speakers and membranes to shine. Compared to other KoRn-re-releases this is a good one in my book and collection. Sound is 8.5/10 on my system. -
It’s not perfect. Yeah it’s muddy, but it’s fucking Korn. Holy hell, of course the bass is heavy and murky and gross, it’s supposed to be. JFC.

Edited 3 years agoNot expansive at all, really muddied as already noted, sounds highly compressed. Doubt this was mastered for vinyl at all. Poor.
-
My pressing sounded very muddy. I had to knock down the bass -1db and up the treble +4db to get it sounding right.
-
Kinda disappointed. Vinyl is quiet, no noise at all. But it sounds heavily compressed, nothing dynamic here. Sound is kinda muddy, not really clear nor really punchy. Too bad for a great album like this.
