Got into this album via the Mala remix of Cay's Crays. That track on a dub soundsystem is something else. Crowd at a DMZ gig go nuts for it.
Brilliant album though! Might have to seek out a VG+ copy... -
A must have of Fat Freddy’s in my opinion. I think the first 2-3 albums a band releases shows their original sound.
Hope is my favourite song.
I saw FFD perform at Bluesfest, Byron Bay, Australia and they were outstanding. The crowd loved them. -
Disk C and D have cracks and pops from bad pressing. I requested a new copy but had same issue aswell as the copy off a driend of mine. Dont buy! -
Edited 2 years agoI looked over my record and tracklist and I think this is the pressing I have.
My copy has a few crackles/pops in the surface noise and was purchased new. Wet cleaned with a Big Fudge Record Friend and used a sticky roller and brush before playing. It is possible it's something in my setup, but it might just be the pressing. -

It seems difficult to pin down which pressing I have of this album. I purchased it brand new in New Zealand in 2018. Does anyone have the matrix numbers for the 2005 NZ pressing?
