Aside from the non-commercial library CD 'Abstract Rhythm Textures' released in 2002 on Selected Sound which is very rare, I'm still waiting for a definitive collection of the library music of Klaus Weiss (hell, if I had the money that would be a great project) as that covers his earlier work for Golden Ring and Conroy, then the Selected Sound albums, the releases on Sonoton and of course the Coloursound albums. Even a double album compilation would be incredible when you think of the library music he released in the 70s and 80s.
Play 'Scoria' for anyone and ask them when they think it was made - he's up there with Bernard Fevre for creating some of the most innovative and experimental library music known to erm.. people. -

The vinyl sounds amazing on earphones. And through my speakers. But I have yet to hear it where there is a wicked sound system that can blast this slow mo piece of brilliance at a whole volume! Preferably in a residentional area? Can't wait. -

1000 copies pressed evidently... Great to finally see this reissued!
Survivor is still the stand out track for me (Shame it doesn't go on for more than 2:43) and for that track alone I give it 5 stars.
Some great break beats and sounds on here and some others that aren't any thing special what so ever as typical library music fodder.
Slate me if you want but overall I'd give the whole LP 3.5 stars...
This is not to sound hard done by as I'm eternally grateful to Mr Trunk, I'm just being objective... -

Sure, it's a fun record... and some hipsters have hyped it up (presumably after buying a couple dozen copies).. but prices north of $400? No thanks. I'll get a lot more mileage out of a create of random disco and electro for half that price!
