Holy cow. Finally got a copy and it sounds even better than i had hoped. Loved the music for years on various funk comps that i thought sounded good. The OG is on another planet!

This always reminds of Honest Jons in London U.K. every time i would look at the most recent releases displayed at the shop front display this album cover would be there for years since it came out, they held the album in high regard and its such an unusual cover of a gear box cogs.
The Mizell brothers did there bit to bring this album alive in a similar style to the Donald Byrd "Spaces and places".

The 'Creme de la Creme' of funk fusion music really. Absolute knockout rare groove
cult LP from Mr Johnny Hammond and produced by the Mizells and in the same
league as 'Places and Spaces' LP by Donald Byrd........but different !!!

10/10 legendary jazz funk LP. The finest jazz funk grooves, every track breaking boundaries, sounds even as fresh today. Antoher Mizell Brothers production and arrangement, probably they're finest work. 'Tell Me What To Do' is a nice mid tempo hook with subtle vocals, 'Shifting Gears' is a serious breaks and block party track with every ingredient - heavily sampled by hiphop in the 80s and 90s. 'Los Conquistadores Chocolatés' is perhaps the most ground breaking track on this LP that could be considered one of the first disco funk tracks - heavy driving bassline, guitar. organ all in melody - 10/10 Perfect all the way through... Play this LP now!
