does anyone know why there is no real official re issue? this is one of the best reggae records of all time, I'm so confused

Also music is stunning, one of the best reggae album in history.

However, sleeve is very thin and fragile. That's why most of copies have worse sleeve condition than media condition. 😂

i received a vinyl cheaply in the last few days. the sound quality is top notch. great album. i don't really care that it's not an official pressing. such a fantastic album.

This is an outstanding recording and mix. The mastering is first rate. Vinyl is an 8/10 a little noisy. The music is fantastic early Gladiators is top notch. Clinton Fearon’s songs really shine.
This record literally leaps out of the speakers.
As for the current value…. Whew$$$$. I know I paid about $25 Can. For it.

Every song worth the price, an Lp, unusually for a Reggae lp where every tune is a winner, and no filler... An Lp I wanted and had on the list for a full 25 years, having missed a copy when they were easier to find, and having envied my friends copy for a very long time, I finally bit the bullet and did not regret it at all.

We have the matrix of the 2000's Reissue (The Gladiators - Trenchtown Mix Up)... Sound better than lot of legal Reggae Reissue !

I had doubts about the record, but I ended up buying it and I confess that it is a great copy. Very good quality.

Can someone please clarify as to how this is an unofficial release, yet it is release by Vergin? Or is this the scam part of it, so to speak. I obviously don't know exactly how bootlegging works and I'm especially confused by this release since I see it beeing sold at regular stores from time to time. Any information is much appreciated!
