Listened to this album again recently, one of my favourites in the genre, superb tracks and a mighty fine pressing too. Just sit back, smoke and relax to the glorious dub sounds, immense!

This double LP sounds awesome. They have done a great mastering work. Dead quiet vinyl, thundering bass and celestial trebles. Great mystic dub music too.

Years ago a friend of mine, an audio technician, had to do extensive sound checks for a world music festival with live performances and DJs. One of the DJs, I forget his name now, was booked to play a three hour dub set and he was very simple about the sound: there had to be bass. At some point, my buddy was plugging in cables and fiddling about with all kinds of knobs and switches standing right next to the monitor speakers of the DJ in question, who was about to try a few records to see how they sounded in his booth. He carefully dropped the needle at the beginning of "Rockers Dub" not knowing that the speakers were set at full blast and bam, the drum roll and the following super heavy bass hit and I literally felt the wind of the sound across my chest, but my pal the audio guy lost both his lenses right there and then, the big fat loud bass blew 'em right out of his eyes. I still chuckle when I think about that moment and the dub set played later on that day was kick ass, but man did that Augustus Pablo cut hit home for me. I eventually bought the album and up to this day it's one of my all-time dub favorites.

'Cassava Piece' is really the melodica cut to 'King Tubby Meets The Rockers Uptown'.. another version to Jacob Miller's 'Baby I Love You So'

Tubby's dub song has about a bar of drum and bass beats towards the end. V groovy when you hear it
