Is this LP better than the previous albums on vinyl?

My least favorite album of the bunch. After the soothing quality of 2Pacalypse Now and Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z., this seems like a lackluster effort that got popular only because of Pac being in jail. I'll probably love it eventually after a couple of listenings.

This one sounds fantastic to my ears. Based on the mixed reviews regarding sound, I was worried this pressing wouldn't be even CD quality. But on my system (a4 desktop speakers, upgraded cartridge, separate subwoofer) everything has range, the bass hits without distorting or overpowering the vocals or overall mix. Not quite as excellent as the recent "2pacalypse Now" pressing, but very close.

Doesn't cut it. All bass and highs. Mids are muted. Bass is bouncy, not in a good way. It doesn't 'spread'. Cuts off. Truncated. Not full. I tried to overlook it - cranked up the mid/high. A2 has prominent IGD. Fairly quiet in the dead wax but I couldn't make it past A5. I'll keep searching for an original pressing or a 96 reissue at reasonable cost. I so wanted to finally own this release but back to Amazon it goes. I can't justify having this pressing in my collection.

I’m a beginner in the sense of speaking the vinyl lingo and assessing pressings. But this pressing seems good. Could be better. Definitely better than the CD. Although on Dear Mama 2Pac seems like his voice is drowning in the bass and drums. If I was younger that would’ve been a huge plus but I appreciate the elements more now. Make no mistake, this is my favorite hip hop album off all. I’m just happy to find it on vinyl.

i have this and the 1996 reissue US - 1996 reissue beats this all the way!

far superior than the recent issue they put out! if you cant afford the first pressing. this is the one to go!

Would someone tell me why this pressing has so many issues? I got two replacements and disc 1, side A sounded like trash. When the mp3 sounds better, you lose. Track 3 disc 2 side A “can u get away” scuffed twice too. Finally order from a third shop, disc 1/A still sounds trash. It’s such an awesome album, sucks this pressing wasn’t done with care.
