Silver Apples – Silver Apples

I bought this to replace my copy of the 2009 pressing which I literally played to death. This is a massive improvement in sound quality over that one, though like others have said it is cut at a very low volume.

Just unbeli eveable record. All followers eat your heart out. I am very happy to have this one! Probably the best demonstration record for my guests to listen 'saying that modern electronic dance music has still got its roots'. Well then..any recommendations for more progressive LPs....?! Thanks for the nice evening and.... go hunting for more...;)

I've heard several different pressings of this classic album and this Promo version sounded best at a friends house shootout. we all agreed, Good stuff!

KEEP IN MIND >>> That SUBOTNICK's Silver Apples of the Moon was released just a year earlier and SO "Silver Apples" was a made UP name or Homage to SUBOTNICK ?

To the best of my knowledge, the only band/album that sounds (remotely) like Suicide. This is 1968 and so relevant or even avantgarde even today (2024).

This pressing sounds very good! Great bass (those oscillators can rattle the house so be careful when playing loudly!), nice and quiet pressing. Shame it doesn't have the foil sleeve or the poster of other reissues, but that's fine. Unsure of the source, assuming the remaster from the 90s. Sounds SUBSTANTIALLY better than the reissue of "" that was released alongside this - "" sounds like it was sourced from the Radioactive reissue and I recommend the Jackpot reissue instead.
