who cares that phoenix records is a bootleg label, the sole record i own from them sounds great and that's what i hear from everyone else in the reviews.

I thought Phoenix was an official reissue label as they look the real thing and if they actually released decent copies of hard to come by albums that for what ever reason won’t get an official release then so what but unfortunately they are rubbish so ignore.

Bought The Insect Trust from an official German record shop at 8,99 euro. Perfect sound and packaging. No signs of it being an unofficial release.

Beware, scum! "Be Far East Family Band - Parallel World (LP, Album, RE, Unofficial)" - Horribly! Better youtube as this shit. NO WAY!

I have two Flower Travellin' Band LPs from this label. They sound fine and the sleeves are quality. At the time I bought them I assumed they were legit. But I'm disappointed to learn otherwise. I wish another label would put out an official re-release of these amazing albums!

Edited 13 years agoSome of these titles had been previously released by Radioactive, an infamous label that did release unauthorized reproductions. That being said, I'm pretty sure most of this stuff is still not legit. There is a lot of consideration in the actual presentation, whereas Radioactive had poor quality artwork and very little-to-none of the liner notes included with their reproductions. Got some of those on the shelves. I've got numerous LP and CD releases on this label, and they are all top-notch reproductions, both visually and, more importantly, audibly superior to many other versions released prior. However, read here: http://www.headheritage.co.uk/headtohead/unsung/topic/34132/flat/20/... This is apparently Radioactive that risen from the ashes. It depends how one views intellectual property and exploitation. Do you think Phoenix is making money hand-over-fist reproducing these albums? That is debatable. What about collectors blogs, and the s they provide? Same difference right? This is an ongoing discussion. In my opinion, the music should be available, so people with limited incomes can enjoy the exploratory sounds. If you disagree, I buy that arguement too. Until some moral imperative with authority stops this process, I say, dig in!!

Not sure about the facts that these are boots, it's distributed in shops, and theres stickers of the label on the records.

Does anyone have any info on this label? Clearly these are all boots, but there's no info anywhere on what source material they've used to make their releases. I presume CD, but any additional info would be greatly appreciated as I can't find anything on the Webz.
