Hans Zimmer – Interstellar (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Since this was pressed by Waxwork, I am hoping this sounds better than the original pressing. Any reviews?

No surface Noise! One of the best Soundtracks ive ever heard!

Constant pops and crackles on 2 out of 4 records. Had to return this one unfortunately. No attention paid to packaging by the manufacturer. The strong foil caused the records to be pressed firmly against each other in the outer sleeve. Even after thorough cleaning surface noise was constant. Why any company still uses paper sleeves is beyond me. The 2 LP version from Music On Vinyl is much better in my opinion.

Mastering and Manufactured Luxuary Package

Just Perfect.

I picked this up on the first pre order, I also have the original MOV copy that was quite cut down. Watertower presses are always hit and miss, you have to be prepared to send some back until you get a good copy, but when you do, this is a phenomenal copy and my go to now, I've put the MOV in storage. Having the full soundtrack from start to finish, the dynamics are just about held (which is almost impossible on vinyl with the sheer scale of the crescendo's in this recording), there is some distortion in places, it's not 100% perfect, but overall this is unquestionably the copy to have so far.
Such an astounding piece of work and has led me to collecting as much of Zimmers work as possible. What a genius.
It's good to see Watertower did repress it after the initial batch sold out fairly quickly, this is an item that needs to be in print, everyone should have this in their collection for those rainy sunday afternoons for some introspective thought (as I'm doing right now).
PLAY IT LOUD, the quiet parts will still be quiet, but you need those crescendos to blast the roof off!

A disaster…
Nonetheless the pressing is bad as others commented already, but the disc À was missing and I got instead 2 G discs… on top of that the sides are not mentioned on the records labels so you struggle to always understand which disc is it …
TOTAL DISASTER

Had a copy with many cracks on it. Seem there were some production issues. There were white splashes on it where the cracks are. I returned it to the seller and after four weeks now I got a fine one. Sounds good, the visual is splendit. One of the best looking pieces in my collection. Glad to got one finally without errors.

My copy is a little noisy, like a small popcorn factory, but it's very silent for the most part and gives the soundtrack an additional atmosphere. I will try cleaning it though, but it's still a good pressing!
