Jamie XX – In Waves

It’s an amazing album with amazing looks. But i wonder how good the actual product is, the label on the first side of the first disk seems to be wrongly attached since it there are bubbles underneath it. Am i the only one who has this?
Also there are some very noticeable ticklings on the first disk.

Brought another copy in the hope that it would be ok however it has exactly the same issue as before. A scraping/scratching noise each rotation in the right channel that only appears on Side A & B so at this point I firmly think its a pressing issue. Im surprised no one else seems to hear this and yes my turntable (Rega P9) is setup correctly along with my cartridge (AT Art9), Krell KCT Pre, Krell FPB400CX amp and Duntech Sovereign speakers

Bought a copy on hmv in London and has a few pops on the first tracks of Side A. Kinda annoying. Maybe with an ultrasonic cleaning improves. Other than that, sounds super nice and clean.

The album really picks up at track n° 7 ("Life").

Ironically, one of the album's best tracks - the bonus cut F.U. feat. Erykah Badu is not included on the original album CD version, only on the deluxe LP version with bonus 12" - why?!

Great album and great pressing. Glad I took a chance on this when the record store i was in had it playing. Sleeve artwork makes me a little dizzy to look at though, hahaha.

I absolutely love this! The pressing sounds fantastic. Overall aesthetics are on point. It's neat to see the way the slipcase interacts with the sleeves. I feel so proud to be an owner of this edition. The whole thing is extremely satisfying, sonically and visually.

Have significant in fill noise throughout side A & B on the right channel which is quite distracting, Rega P9 turntable with a AT Art9 cart. Otherwise an incredible sounding album

Anybody else having skipping issues with this pressing? I mean, the sound is incredible throughout on mine except on Still Summer which has 3 or 4 major kickback skips, and the same on Let's Do It Again. I'm playing on a Pro-Ject Carbon Debut turntable with a new Ortofon OM10 that has less than 50 hours playtime on it. I play records daily and do not experience this kind of thing when I see others have issues, so really surprised to be having major issues on two of the three LPs.
