Negative Approach – Negative Approach

Picked this up on Amazon for $11.98—listed as a CD, but make no mistake, it’s definitely a 7” vinyl. I originally bought it just for “Can’t Tell No One”, which is an absolute classic and still hits hard after all these years. But I was honestly stoked with the rest of the tracks too. They’re fast, raw, and straight-up pissed-off hardcore—exactly what you’d expect from Negative Approach.

Only downside is the audio quality, but that’s just the nature of the beast. These recordings are from ‘82, and it shows. It’s gritty and lo-fi, but if you’re into old-school hardcore, that kind of adds to the charm.

If you’re into early hardcore punk and want a slice of history, this 7” is worth grabbing.

Great EP but if you're paying 4 figures for sloppy hardcore that sounds like it was recorded with a YakBak in a damp carboard box you're a fucking idiot

Does anyone know if this is a repress of the October 2021 version listed here? It was very difficult to find then but seems to be more available now, fortunately. T&G does repress stuff quietly sometimes (thinking of the Big Black remasters). Thanks!
