Travis Scott (2) – Astroworld

From all my collection, this is one of the best sounding LPs I got. If you listen this album on Digital platforms it sounds amazing, but the dynamic on the vinyl makes it unbelievable. No high noise, less strong lows (still powerful), so the vocals and instruments has more presence. For me makes it even better to listen. Mastering 11/10.

Some surface noise but many of these tracks have artifical surface noise in the DSP mix. Sibilant in a lot of tracks, particularly bad in Drake's verse in Sicko Mode and James Blake on Stop Trying To Be God.

My biggest qualms with this record are that all of the pressings are on noisy vinyl as well as the mastering clearly not being done for vinyl. Very much feels like a CD mix that was just thrown onto vinyl. High end sibilance/vinyl noise are less present on this copy vs. new reissues but its still definitely a frustration considering how great and dynamic this album is. hopefully one day Acoustic Sounds / MOFI will do some sort of remaster.

First half is warped - second half the sibilance is crazy on the second half, Yosemite is all kinds of messed up.

I’ve bought 2 copies of this album, 1 new and 1 used and they are both unevenly pressed. The disc has a visible wobble when played.. oddly enough doesn’t affect playback too much but it is rather unsightly. Beware.

Amazing besides “stargazing” which the first part of the song skips around. got it off amazon so that might be why😭

Good album but my pressing is dogshit. Skips like so much. I just keep it on my wall at this point. No point in playing.

Clean pressing, yet nothing special. Bass is good, but really nothing worth raving about
